Our history

A journey that began in 2007

2007

Founding of Comet Aerospace

Comet Aerospace was founded by a group of engineers who shared a different way of understanding work: a modern vision, centred on client needs, respect for people and a commitment to the social and natural environment.

2010

First contract for ESA with Airbus DS

Joints between space-grade carbon fibre panels, cured outside an autoclave, were developed as part of a comprehensive process involving design, analysis, manufacturing and testing.

2015

First contract with ESA for deployable structures as the prime contractor

Comet led a consortium to develop deployable masts and reflectors for large space antennas, in a project that spanned conceptual design to validation using zero-g deployment tests.

2025

Integration into Bouwen Grupo

Comet Aerospace joined Bouwen Grupo with the aim of strengthening its sustainable growth and continuing to improve the development of its products and services.
